BRANDING AND IDENTITY x PRINT
Instaband is a choose-your-own-adventure book about how to be in a fake band. It was the brainchild born from my countless years of passionate inside jokes and music snobbery. I wanted to create an entertaining book and experience that other music hungry pundits would love to show off for its style and appreciate for its humor. Utilizing bold, flat, illustrative aesthetics with simple typography was my aim in capturing the cookie-cutter qualities that music genres and their stereotypes tend to carry. The books three genres and each of their four sections were designed to be distilled versions of the essential objects to any band’s superficial success, eventually leading the reader to two very different endings; Guts or glory? Fame or filth? Will the band make it?
